"I compare having Lyme disease to being lost at sea. You float along on the vast ocean. Sometimes you get a glimpse of the land....on good days you even get to touch the land. Then for some mysterious reason, you float back out to sea.... into nothingness. I have reached the land. Some days I still drift off shore a little, but I can now always reach down and wiggle my toes in the sand....and the sand feels good!" ~Cheryl |
Recipes for RepairGreetings one and all: I have a good product review for you. Laura and her mom Gail have put together a very nice professional cookbook with anti-inflammatory recipes that support the Kenneth Singleton protocol. This isn’t your church ladies cook book. Very well done – 283 pages of color photos, recipes and a variety of healthy information. The first 65 pages include a forward by Dr. Singleton, basic info for understanding the anti-inflammatory diet, basic cooking terms etc. At the end of the book is a resources section. You can order it from: http://www.recipesforrepair.com/ Even if you aren’t doing an anti-inflammatory diet, there are some great recipes in this book. Enjoy!! Life changing……Hello Everyone, My goal, for this blog, originally was to sample different health products and give my honest opinion of them. However, I had a life changing experience the end of this past January 2011. Someone shared a set of DVD’s with my family called “God Wants You Well” by Andrew Wommack. Here is the link to watch the exact info on your computer: http://www.awmi.net/tv/2010 Scroll down till you see God Wants You Well. We were part way through this DVD series when we knelt down as a family and prayed the way we had learned through Andrew Wommack. When we got up, it was incredible. I knew the Lyme and seizures were gone. Haven’t had another seizure since. My kids, 20 and 24, were healed as well. We could hardly go to sleep that night – we wanted to celebrate and wrap our minds around what had just happened. Since then, we have moved to Yakima, WA. I have a part time job in a spa – I haven’t been able to work in 25 years! I am the social leader for our local Klemmer.com group which provides leadership training, the kids and I started a garage cleaning business and my daughter and I are getting a Christmas Art and Craft show together for this year. We haven’t looked back. I walk every day and feel GREAT. I am amazed at how good life is. I have never felt this good in my whole life!!! I can still tear up when I stop to think where I was and where I am now. I honestly had no idea that life could be this good. My kids are both very busy starting their lives. Skyler, who designed LymeHope.com for me, is VERY busy designing other websites as a business (wet-hat.com), juggling his lunastix at the farmer’s market, learning to play the marimba, composing his music, and helping people start their own on-line stores. Chloe is busy designing jewelry and hair accessories, http://www.etsy.com/shop/ZyDesigns?ref=pr_shop_more , Zumba! and generally running around and having a good time. For the first time, everyone in our family is busy, productive and earning $$. There is life on the other side! And it it better than we thought! My best! First Visit to Comprehensive Medical CenterWhat a crazy week! I had my first visit with Dr. Grindstaff on Thursday Dec. 9. As always, I am blown away by ART (Autonomic Response Testing). I am sure there are other good ways to get well from Lyme, but since this is what I have experience with, it is hard for me to imagine any other way. Of course I have Lyme and co-infections, metals, and it appears that the seizures are caused by parasites in my central nerveous system. Dr. Grindstaff has me on: Drainage and homeopathic support: Parasite Treatment: Antimicrobial: Detox (metals etc): Nutritional Support: I seem to have a lot of structural issues as well. A few auto accidents, sledding accident, and blah, blah, blah have added to this problem. I am being sent to Alex in the downstairs of the Comprehensive Medical Center. Alex is amazing. Think osteopath, swedish massage and non-cracking chiropractor. I am seeing him twice a week. My cranial adjustment by Alex yesterday trigured a smallish seizure today. I was quite sure seizures would increase with treatment, so no surprises there. Although, Dr. Grindstaff is doing a very “soft” protocol with me to try and keep that from happening. All in all it has been a positive experience. I have been there enough with others that I was well prepared for what to expect. It has been good for my family to go in with me and be able to express their concerns and get the required re-assurances. Will keep you updated as we go along. |
